Guru Points System – How does it work?

Each contribution on the site generates Guru Points for the member, known on the site as a Trip Guru. Reviews by well-established Trip Gurus carry special weight because of their valuable contributions to the travel community.

Points are earned in the following ways:

• Daily log in +1 Guru Point
• When a review is voted as helpful +1 Guru Point
• Completing a Trip Guru profile +1 Guru Point
• Adding a link to your Trip Guru profile +1 Guru Point
• Adding a portrait to your Trip Guru profile +5 Guru Points
• Commenting on another Review or Trip Guru profile +1 Guru Point

In the future, there will be additional ways to earn points, such as for referring a friend to join the site. In the end though, the system will always reward those who are active in helping out the travel community.
